“My experience as a participant in the FIPSE/CAPES program has been nothing short of amazing, and as such it would be impossible to capture it all in this small space!  I have studied with some of the best students Brazil has to offer, and even more, have forged friendships of a lifetime with people I never dreamed I would have the opportunity to get to know.  I have learned, lived, and fallen in love with Brazilian culture (and Portuguese!), and gotten to experience Brazilian agriculture firsthand!  I will leave Brazil a different person than I was when I arrived, with a changed world view and a new perspective on international agriculture.  If you ever have a chance to get out and submerge yourself in another culture, do it!  It will be an experience of a lifetime.  The FIPSE program is an absolute gem and I encourage anyone who is even slightly interested to apply!”
