“Blessed. The best word I can find to describe my feelings regarding my experience in Brazil. Blessed to have participated in a study abroad program specific to my major/ interests, blessed to have been immersed in Brazilian culture and mostly blessed to have made the life-long relationships I made. My host-family opened their home, hearts and world to me- making me feel like another loved member of the family. My classmates provided endless help, laughter, insight, smiles and friendships I will hold dear for a lifetime. The country and culture of Brazil not only left an impression in my heart but also has interwoven with who I am/ how I live here in the US. This year (my final at TAMU) I’m out-of-my-mind excited to be living with three friends I met at UFRPE in Recife, Brazil. I hope I can help make their experience abroad as fun, eye opening and enriching as the one they helped provide for me.”
